On Wednesday, December 4th,2019. I Interviewed a boy in third grade named Daniel. He has been doing a lot this year. Daniel has been learning about Multiplication, Division, and a writing piece.
Dan has been enjoying Mansion a lot. He thinks that Mansion is better than Haviland because it has a bigger lunchroom, he likes the gym teacher, we have a better playground, and a bigger blacktop.
He likes to play kickball, wallball, and tag.
In late November, I interviewed Mrs. Gilbert. She likes to teach 3rd grade but misses teaching 5th grade.
My second question to her was moving from 5th grade to 3rd grade and how it felt. Her response was, “I have to remember to not grade as hard.” In which that means Mrs.Gilbert has to remember to ease the the third graders into it, not like one day there doing a project and the next is another.
She also likes to teach math because in 5th grade she taught ELA and was used to teaching ELA.
Lastly, Mrs. Gilbert likes having one class all day rather than two.
Both Mrs. Gilbert and Daniel like 3rd grade at Mansion Avenue School.
