I then shot my next question at her,“What is your favorite part of the day?”
“My favorite part is teaching Language arts.”
“Why do you like it?” I asked, curiously.
“It was always my favorite and strongest subject and it brings out the creativity of students,” she answered.
“Why did you become a teacher?” I inquired. She told me that she loved helping children and that it makes her feel good when she does.
“What is your favorite type of writing that you teach?”
“Informational is my favorite because my class gets to choose what they write about, and through their writing I can see their true personality”
“Is there an assignment that your students have to get done each day?” I wondered.
“Yes, they have to write down a multiplication fact each day 5 times,” she stated.
“ Do you like teaching math?”
“It’s not my favorite subject ,but I don’t mind teaching it”
“How did you feel the first time you came in for your job?”
“Excited and nervous”
“How do you feel about being in charge of a bunch of students?”
“It’s a big responsibility that I take seriously.”
“How do you feel on the last day of school?”
“Excited that I get a break but also sad that I have to say goodbye.”
