On April 25, 5th Grade went to Pennsbury Manor in Bucks County and learned about William Penn. They learned that he established Pennsylvania in 1681 and did many other important things. Then, they took a tour of a recreation of Pennsbury Manor. The students saw artifacts like heating pans, that would be filled with coals and put under beds to warm them up. Also, they saw the rooms of William Penn, his wife, his son, and guest rooms. They also got a chance to buy artifacts from a gift shop such as a quill and ink. Overall, the 5th graders had a great time learning about William Penn and what he did to benefit America.
The 5th graders at Mansion love to learn. Check out what they are up to.
