by Angelina and Jules Kicking of the start of a roar rally is a very great tradition we do at M.A.S. Spirit Committee. The point is to hype up the kids at our roar rallies. They dance, cheer, sing, and sometimes they call up kids to come dance or do things with them. All of the 6th graders had a opportunity to sign up. You have a big responsibility participating because you have to perform up in front of the whole school. Also, you will also have to come up with a cheer, or a song, and possibly a dance. In our first roar rally being 6th graders, we all came up with a dance or a chant to perform. We all got into groups and picked a song. Then we changed up the lyrics to stuff that related to our roar expectations. When everybody gets there, the Spirit Committee welcomes everyone and gives high fives when the music is playing and everyone is settling in.Our latest roar rally had only two classes because there were many students that signed up. So Mrs. Meehan and Ms. Busarello’s class only performed. There were three groups. The first group had a chant that one of the students made up. The second group just got to sit in the isle and amped up everyone. Lastly, the last group got to go over the roar expectations because we just started our new year. Knowing all of this might make you want to join when you get into the 6th grade! It is a great activity and it is very fun to do. Would you like to participate in this fun and joyful activity?
