Have you ever been in the plain old Sixth Grade hallway. Well this is about to change, because soon there will be a pretty mural on the wall. Remember all the caps you have been collecting? Well all those caps are going to be color coded into bags and put onto a painted wall making a beautiful mural.
There is a great thanks to Ms. Busarello for making this project possible. She along with many others are excited to see the finishing piece. There's also a great thanks to the 6th grade student council members and many sixth graders for counting the caps. After all the caps were counted there was a total 30,090. “I expected to be doing this until May,” stated Ms. Busarello. We are roughly 20,000 over the expected amount. But we are going to try to use as many caps as we can for the mural. Another thing, in the beginning of the project we promised the students that the class that brought in the most caps would get 100 paws for their class chart. The class that brought in the most caps was Ms. Fox’s sixth grade class with a total of 6,045 caps. In 2nd place was Mrs. McGovern's sixth grade class with 5,556. In 3rd was Mrs. Murphy's fourth grade class with 4,439 caps.
Also, there was a competition about designing what the mural should be. When the contest was over we each 6th grader received an email to vote who we think should win. After a long week of voting, everyone was done. On the following Monday we received the results. A sixth grader named Vivian Dong won.
