In our school, we have a thing called literacy activities. These activities are basically reading activities for our school that we can do throughout the entire school year. I think that the literacy activities are very interesting and entertaining. There's also a person in our school who plans the literacy activities for our school which is Mrs. McGilloway. There are many exciting activities planned for our school. Mrs. McGilloway comes up with all the ideas for literacy.
Mrs. McGilloway is in charge of planning all of the literacy activities; she is a reading specialist at our school. She does everything that has to do with reading. Some of the things that she does are make reading clubs and she is the person who gets our visiting author to come visit our school. If we didn’t have Mrs. McGilloway at our school, we wouldn’t much fun doing activities that involve reading.
Some of the exciting activities that Mrs. McGilloway have planned are our visiting author David Lubar and she has planned some reading clubs. One of the clubs is reading a book called Nathan Abercrombie: Accidental Zombie, The Big Stink. She said that her group is really enjoying this book because they’ve noticed that zombies aren’t all that bad. The author David Lubar is coming to our school on December 22. He has written some books like the book Campfire of the Ninja Weenies. The last activity that she planned was another group who are reading graphic novels like Captain Underpants and Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
Mrs. McGilloway plans all of these and has a way to do it how do you think she does. Well she usually comes up with these ideas from reading books that have ideas that she can do. Sometimes students come to her and give her ideas that she can use and sometimes she uses them but she doesn’t always use them. This is how Mrs. McGillowa
