Have you ever wondered what it is like to be in a band with kids from different towns? Well if you are in the Audubon elementary school’s advanced band you have that exact opportunity when you are in 6th grade. All you have to do is ask permission from your parent/guardian, sign up, and you're set.
In Winter festivals Honor band you play your instrument with kids from different schools and later on perform in a concert. It's not only a learning experience but a fun experience to do with other kids and meet new people. Also, kids in Mount Ephraim will be there and they will be in the high school (7th grade-12th grade) with you when your in ninth grade. You can get to know your future peers and maybe even bond with them.
In Winter Festival Honors band you can get the chance to get conducted by the other school conductors. As well as learning new techniques as to play your instruments music so you can work with kids outside of the school.
Sadly this band concert has already past but… next year you might be one of the lucky students to be invited to be in Winter Festival Honors Band! So, ask Ms. Moore (Audubon's Band Teacher) or your band conductor about next year's Winter Festival Honors Band.
