Cognetics is a program where students in the Gifted and Talented groups receive a “problem,” and they have to come up with a solution, and put it into a skit. When they are finished with the skit, the group, with Mrs. Gabardi and Mrs. Rosenberg as their supervisors/ teachers, they travel to Camden County College and present their skit while watching other people’s skits also. Later this year, they will receive their scores and ranking in the judge's eyes. Speaking of judges, one of the members of the group gets to have the chance to judge the other skits that people from other towns perform! This year, Mairead got the chance to be the judge and enjoyed it a lot. Mostly because she received so much food and candy from the other acts!
The group, consisting of Greta, Mairead, Rebekah, Ava, Cori, Skylar, Elizabeth, Grace, Molly, Mrs. Rosenberg and Mrs. Gabardi, was assigned a skit about zombies: real or not real? They were assigned parts in which they performed alongside a funny, informational, and all-around great powerpoint.
We hope that the cognetics team did good on their performance, but we are sad that we won’t be able to see it ourselves. Hopefully this fun program will last until next year!
