This assembly was probably one of my favorites so far! The Franklin Institute employee who visited showed us so much about weather and how it relates to science! He was very funny, too. He gave us a good time, where weather, science, and ridiculousness combine! The guest showed us how hot air rises, and he proved it by filling an aluminum foil balloon with hot air. When he let go, it floated to the ceiling. After a while, the balloon started to sink. Then it fell on his head. The audience roared with laughter. Get it? Then he showed us a ‘magic’ trick (which really was chemical reactions) when he shot chemicals at fire, and it changed color! In my opinion, that was one of my favorite parts. He also explained the steps of the water cycle: evaporation, condensation, and precipitation.
“I think it was pretty awesome, and I liked when he blew the fire out of the jug”, David Amorosi said while I interviewed him. That is all that I have at this point, and my next article is right around the bend. Thanks for reading!
