October 2015-November 2015
Welcome to the first issue of student of the month for 2015! This month’s
student of the month needed to be strong; they needed to be friendly; and they
needed to be a good friend. Finally, they needed to show RESPECT. And these two
kids have definitely showed respect.
First up, we have Chase Gilbert from Mrs.Englehart’s class. When I asked
Chase how he reacted to this, he answered, “I felt like I meant something more
than a normal student, like I did a good deed.” Next I asked him if he knew why
he got this award. He replied, “I guess I just helped people out.” And, trust me, from a person who knows him, he totally helps people out and is a good friend.
He said that he reacted by, “shouting yes!” Finally, I asked him how his classmates
reacted. He said, “They patted me on the back, complimented me, and told me
good job.” Thus ends up being an exciting interview with Chase Gilbert.
Next up, as promised we have a 3rd grade student named Lucy Quinn. When
I asked her how she felt, she replied, “I felt good, even though this had happened
before. I didn’t want to brag, but my friends were really excited for me.” Next, I
asked her why she thinks she won this award. She responded, “I don’t really know.
My friends seemed really happy, saying I totally deserved it.” She said her
classmates reacted by, “Telling me I deserved it, acting excited for me.” And, trust
me, she definitely deserved it.
Those are only 2 of the student of the month winners for October and
November. These kids, as I have said throughout this article, totally deserved
this award. They are good friends, courageous kids, and RESPECTFUL students.
Remember, readers, stay strong; stay proud, and RESPECT each other, RESPECT
yourself, and RESPECT everything around you.
