Enjoying books in third grade, Isabella from Mrs. Kirby’s class said that she was reading a book entitled Cat Heaven, which talks about what cats do when they pass away and reach heaven. Isabella said she really likes the book, mostly because it made her feel better about her cat. She would definitely recommend this book to many people.
In fourth grade, Marykate from Mrs. Miller’s class told us she was reading the book A Nest for Celeste. She said it was a really great book, and she would probably recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed reading fiction books.
Down in fifth grade, Amber from Mrs. Mccurdy's class explained her book, Eight Keys. It is about people, who are on a mission to track down eight keys. Amber says that she would absolutely recommend this book to anyone.
Upstairs, in 6th grade Mrs. Meehan’s class, Kelli is reading the book Road Trip, by Gary Paulsen and his son, who we did a lesson on in 6th grade. She says it is a very great book, and she would suggest it to readers in 6th grade.
From the teacher’s lounge, we asked two different teachers. Mrs. McGilloway told us that she was reading a book called 30 Girls, and that she thought it was a really great book so far. Mrs. Masciantonio says that her book is entitled Rump, and that it was about how Rumpelstiltskin got his name. She says she likes it very much.
This month, the students and staff have been reading up a storm!
